Storyboard Text

  • Tone
  • " Brother, Brother, don't leave me! Don't leave me!"
  • " Brother, Brother, don't leave me! Don't leave me!"
  • Mood
  • "What are you crying for?"
  • Brother's characters traits
  • Depressing I selected depressing as the tone word, because when Doodle can't keep up with brother he falls and starts to cry.
  • Doodle's character traits
  • Disappointment I picked this as the mood word, because this was a happy moment, but Brother did it for the wrong reason.
  • Theme
  • Brother is a Dynamic character, because he does undergo a change throughout the story. Brother spends all his time trying to improve Doodle to a normal child.
  • Fig. Language
  • Doodle is a dynamic character, because he changes significantly throughout the story. Doodle works really hard above his ability to improve. Brother forces him to learn, so at some point he learned to walk and run.
  • The theme is.... " Don't make somebody change into something they are not."
  • Simile: " He collapsed onto the grass like a half-empty flour sack."The author used this simile to show that Doodle was so weak that he couldn't walk.   Simile: " Keeping a nice secret is very hard to do, like holding your breath." The author used this simile to show that they wanted to tell the family really bad, that Doodle can walk.
