Storyboard that depicts the major events in the third Act of "The Crucible" story.
The trials of "witches" continues with Martha Corey being tried by Judge Hathorne until her husband Giles Corey attempts to stop the trial but fails.
Francis Nurse, Giles Corey, and John Proctor approach Judge Hathone and Danforth to prove the innocence of their wives as well as revealing how the girls are frauds.
Mary Warren attempts to explain that all of the "sightings" of spirits she and the other girls had were not true and just them pretending. One of the Judges demands that Warren faint like she did numerous times with Abigail.
Abigail enters and is questioned on these charges brought by Warren but she begins to oppose these charges by claiming she sees a "bird" but Proctor stops her by explaining that he cheated on his wife with Abigail and that lust/vengeance is her main motivation for the witch accusations.
Elizabeth Proctor is brought in to determine if Proctor is telling the truth about his affair with Abigail is what caused her to be kicked out of the house. Elizabeth lies and says no but the Judge is told she never lies. Ironic considering her husbands claimed she never lies.
Marry Warren cannot take the accusation of witchcraft so she "repents" and instead accuses Proctor of being with the Devil. Before being arrested Proctor damns the court for raising up a liar instead of God and ultimately proclaims that "God is dead!" This quote symbolizes how far fallen the residents of Salem have gone and of how Proctor's defiance to end against an illegitimate authority.
