The tone of “The Tyler” is very negative. The tiger in the poem is meant to look very evil and bad. In the poem, the tiger is a best, a wild animal that will tear and kill anything that opposes it.
The word choices are also very negative and bad, they use them to describe the tiger in such a way to make people feel negatively about the tiger. The tiger was to be feared and kept very distant and unknown like.
For the imagery the author uses words like distant, dread, and forest of the night. These words help you imagine a place that is very dark and mysterious. Like a place where the unseen beast lye.
The style is very rhythmic and rhymes like every other line. The author uses certain words to almost like hide the meanings. You have to really read and understand what is going on. There is also alliteration and repetition. Personification as well.
The theme is mainly saying that; how could someone create such a monstrous animal and make an animal and innocent and pure like a lamb.
