  • PROLOGUE
  • Go then, if you feel that you must.
  • It will not be the worst of deaths ––death without honor.
  • SCENE 1
  • I’d like nothing better than bringing him the man!
  • But unless you bring me the man, You will get little profit from them in the end.
  • SCENE 2
  • You are alive, but I belong to Death.
  • But we are equally guilty!
  • Antigone informs her sister Ismene about the death of both their brothers. However their King Creon orders that one of them , Polyneices, will not be buried. She tells her that she will go and bury him despite the Creon's edict.
  • SCENE III
  • Then she must die. ––But her death will cause another.
  • Creon address the Chorus about his plan for Thebes. Soon enough, Sentry enters the room and informs Creon that somebody has taken Polyneices body and buried him. Creon orders him to find who did the crime.
  • SCENE IV
  • Then let me go, since all your words are bitter
  • Antigone decided to go check up on her brother, but found that he was unburied and decided to bury him again. Sentry found her and took her to Creon without Antigone hesitating. Creon was surprised that his own family would go against him. Before anything, Ismene enters. She wanted to take part of the blame and die with her sister so she isnt alone. Creon orders antigone to be taken away until her death.
  • SCENE V
  • After Creon's son Haimon finds out what has happened, he decides to confront his father. He tells him that what Creon is doing is unfair, and that he should listen to other peoples advice. Haimon then tells his father that if Antigone died, there will be the death of another.

  • Antigone begins feeling really depressed and regrets what she has done. She wishes that she wouldnt die and wants to be left alone after what the Chorus told her.
  • A prophet advises Creon to do whats right.He also tells him that his family is in danger. Creon was very hesitant but then decides to listen, and buries Polyneices. as he was returning to free Antigone, he saw her dead. Haemon tries to kill his father but kills himself instead. Soon, Creon's wife finds out and commits suicide. In the end, Creon wishes to be dead and regrets everything.
