Storyboard Text

  • The Ordinary World/Call to Adventure
  • Crossing the Threshold/Enemies and Allies
  • Tests
  • There was once a dog, Chance, who was born into a litter of service dogs and adopted into a small family. The only child of the family, Quincy, was a young and lonely boy. Every day after school the young boy talks to his dog about wanting to leave and find Chance's parents. Finally, Chance runs out of the house, hoping to give the lonely boy a day of adventure, and Quincy followed.
  • Reward
  • Chance sniffed out a dog park and found himself in a bit of trouble. Luckily, he met a very friendly large canine to help him out on his quest and to borrow some water but took a sip out of the wrong bowl. The smaller pups found that Chance was drinking from their bowl and they were no fan of him! They kept barking at poor Chance. The young boy took his best friend and kept walking.
  • Road Back
  • The two adventurers continued on their way. They ducked behind bushes when the dog catcher would come their way and sit together while admiring the clouds. Every once in a while, Chance would bark at Quincy and block him from walking across the street when it was not time. Quincy wasn't the most observant of children...
  • Return
  • The quest to find Chance's parents continued until Quincy thanked his pup for giving him the most exiting day of his life. The dog licked the boy because that sneaky little canine knew his real quest was completed.
  • The two walked home, satisfied with their day and all the adventures they had. From running to the dog park to running from the dog catcher. For a long while the best friends will have memories to share together.
  • The next day, Quincy told his parents of his and Chance's exploration. Unfortunately, all he got from his mom was a scolding for leaving the house and confusion from his dad who didn't even notice his absence! Quincy realized yesterday was better left unsaid.
