Meiosis in a handful of boxes
By azdex, Updated
Meiosis explained very poorly...
Interesting. So that's how meiosis works. Hold up, lemme write this down.
Mr. Coach Qwertyuiop how does meiosis work?
Why the heck are you asking me? I sincerely do not care about your education.
So after the chromosomes of an organism have been duplicated, prophase happens where the nucleus explodes every where and then the chromosomes line up in the middle.
COME TO ME!!!
Pls. I needz love...
Next the chromosomes are pulled away into opposite corners of the cell. Afterwards, the chromosomes form a nucleus around themselves.
That was Meiosis I. Meiosis II is the same except at the end every one dies(Not really). What actually happens is all the duplicated chromosomes split and each cell, sorry HAPLOID cells, end up with a single chromosome and chromotid. P.S. there are no refunds for cancerous cells or wrong gender cells.
So if i were you I would watch out. Especially if you are part bald, part frilly haired, part insane, part child and half transgender. You don't want four of your newfound quadruplets to look like that. ----->> BTW I'm talking about the next slide...
