Our handmades have bright colors and detailed patterns. what İ know about our folktales is that it is passed from one generation to the other. Our food varies from one country to the other.
The plays that are performed in the Moscow Arts Theatre are known all over the world. First opened plays were written by Chekov and Tolstoy.
People in our country consider chess as a sport. Children learn to play chess at an early age to become international chess champions.
People in the U.S.S.R. were not allowed to practice their religion openly but after the collapse, they had more freedom. More than 100,000 people practice the Russian Orthodox religion. The diversity of the cultures and religion led to many problems such as: 1- Tatars voted to form their independent republic called Tatarstan 2- People in Chechnya wanted independence because most of them are Muslims and are different from Russians.
The end of communism brought changes to the economy. Businesses were divided into light industry which sell clothes and appliances, and heavy industry which sell machinery. However, people faced unemployment problems because many people were not prepared for the jobs and owners did not have enough money to pay for the workers. İn the early 2000's Moscow became center for finance and world trade.
