  • Todd the Turtle and Natural Selection
  • Overproduction of Offspring
  • Variation
  • Nobody understands me except the rocks
  • Well this is the best story you're ever going to hear. Let's talk about Todd the turtle and how he survived against the sketchy hawks on the beach.
  • Selection
  • I'm so full haha
  • Todd's parents had a lot of babies here on the beach.
  • Adaption
  • All of these babies had different colored shells. There were some with green shells, grey shells, black shells and even purple shells. Todd, however, was the only turtle with a red shell. His shell blended very well with the color of the rocks on the beach.
  • The End
  • The hawks who also inhabited this beach were not colorblind and loved eating turtles. These birds could spot all the other turtles except Todd. His shell looked like a rock. This resulted in the birds getting an amazing meal, but not Todd.
  • Todd survived his whole life on this beach, always able to survive the hawks feeding time. He ending up meeting another red-shelled turtle, Tabitha. Todd and Tabitha fell in love and had lots of red-shelled babies.
  • In the end, this beach became the beach of red turtles. Todd and his red-shelled family are very happy.
  • Woohoo!
