- Harriet Hanson was a women who fought for worker rights. Harriett fought for women's right to keep her family rights. She fought for these rights in 1883. She fought for these rights in Massachusetts.
- Horace Mann started to improve education in Massachusetts in 1837. He fought to fix school he did this because he felt they were broken.
- Harriet Tubman fought to help slaves. Harriet started to help slave in 1849. Harriet was a women born into slavery. She helped slaves all over. She helped slaves so no one had to feel like she did.
