Jem and scout pass by Boo Radely's house ever day and are no longer scared of it. Scout wishes that she can see Boo Radely again.
Miss Gates talks to the class about the weakness of Hitler's persecution on the Jews and on equality. Scout listens and wonders why Miss gates can talk about equality even though she was at the trial.
Scout asked Jem if he knows why miss gates talked about equality in class when she came out of the courthouse after the Tom Robinson trial and told Miss Stephanie Crawford that it was about time that someone taught the blacks in town a lesson. Jem told Scout not to talk about the trial.
