This is a storyboard on the murder of Thomas Beckett
King Henry II was angry at the Archbishop Thomas Beckett because he stopped listening to him and Thomas tried to ban some of the kings friends from the church
The King spoke these fateful words "Will no one rid me of this troublesome priest"
Four knights over heard him and took it as a request from the king to get rid of Thomas
The knights reached Canterbury Cathedral on December the 29th 1170, where they found Beckett at the altar praying
One of the knights struck Becket on the shoulder with the flat of sword, the knights did not intend to kill him, but he stood firm so all four knights attacked and killed him
It is recorded that the knights cracked open his skull and spilled out his brains across the Cathedral floor. Henry was horrified as he believed that his words had caused Becketts death.
