Storyboard Text

  • Im almost done with interphase, where I carry out normal life functions. My DNA is already duplicating
  • YES! I can feel my spindle fibers stretching and my DNA is finally turning into chromosomes. I must be in prophase.
  • Im changing again, I think im in metaphase. my chromosomes are lined up and attached to my spindle fibers.
  • OUCH! My chromosomes split and are at opposite sides of my cell. That must mean im in anaphase!
  • My chromatids are separated opposite sides and a new nuclear membrane forms around them and they begin to go back to loose strands. I am beginning to pinch in. Im in telophase now!!!
  • There you are! my... wait. Did you already hit cytokinesis!
  • Yep, now we are two, separate, genetically identical daughter cells.
