  • The tormented character in "The Raven" would be the narrator, because he is grieving the death of his wife and he keeps himself isolated from the world.

  • A bizarre event that happened in "The Raven" is when the nahe raven if his wife went to heaven and The Raven responds, "nevermore".
  • Throughout the story there are many supernatural events that occur. The author portrays a as crow talking. Another instance is when the narrator hears the tapping at the chamber door and he thinks it's his dead wife.
