  • The narrator was napping in his chamber and got woken up by a tapping noise on his chamber door at midnight.
  • Falling Action
  • The narrator was getting nervous and frightened by whatever was tapping and rapping on his chamber door and he wanted it to go away, but when he opened the door to see what it was he saw nothing more.
  • Resolution
  • The narrator found the raven above his chamber door and thought it was haunting him and wanted to know why. he called the raven an evil bird.
  • Personification
  • nevermore
  • The narrator wanted the raven to leave his house and leave him alone. he wanted to see his wife again because he didn't want to be alone forever.
  • The raven never left. The narrator was angry at the raven because all he would say was nevermore, so I knew was never going to see his wife again. The narrator didn't want to be alive anymore.
