  • One nice morning, while Kino and Juana are not looking, something tragic happened. Kino and Juana's son got stung by a scorpion, and as soon as they noticed they did all they could. Juana tried to suck the poison out, and told everyone to get the doctor. The doctor never came. So they went to the doctor. Even though the doctor hates american- indians, he made an exception if they had money. Since they didn't, they decided to find a pearl.
  • Falling Action: Crazy, ANGRY
  • When they go out to find a pearl, they see a big oyster. Kino jumps in to get it, and when he goes back up, he sees the pearl a little from inside it, so he opens it last (After the other oysters he got). After he got the pearl many people tried to get the pearl, no matter what. 
  • Resolution: Depressed, Sad
  • After he got the pearl, many bad people really got to him. Once, a thief game and attacked him, and for self defense Kino killed him. They knew that the gaurds were coming for them, so they ran away to the mountains. But at night, the gaurds slept and the same place they slept at.
