  • INTERPHASE: •Is the first step •Part of the cell cycle where it caries out it's normal life activities •The cell grows in size and DNA is duplicated
  • Welcome to the Cell Division Candy shop! Today's lesson of the day is on the cell devision steps.
  • Nucleus
  • I love candy but I can never remember what the steps to cell division are.
  • DNA
  • Prophase: •Prophase is where chromosomes form •The nucleus membrane disappears •Spindle fibers strech
  • Spindle Fibers
  • Prophase is the second step.
  • Nucleus
  • Chromosomes
  • Centriols
  • The next and third step of the cell cycle is Metaphase!
  • Metaphase: •Chromosomes line up in the middle •Spindle fibers attach to the centromere of the chromosomes
  • Chromosomes
  • I'm starting to understand but what is the 4th step?
  • Anaphase: •The chromatids of each chromosomes separate, into separate chromosomes •They are pulled to opposite sides of the cell
  • Chromatid separated
  • Centrioles
  • So that means that the next part is telophase •A nuclear membrane forms around each group of the chromosomes •The DNA returns to a loose mass of strands •Cell membrane begins to pinch
  • DNA
  • Nuclear Membrane
  • Yep, I hope you had an amazing time at the Cell Division Candy shop!
