  • Come on, lets go, i'm getting you out of here.
  • "On the Underground Railroad"
  • Symbol- The symbol of the poem is the railroad. All through out the poem he is trying to get to the Underground Railroad.
  • HOPE!!!!!!
  • Imagery- "His clothes are tattered, His feet are bare, They bleed from frostbite"
  • Figurative Language- "The North Star" is a metaphor. To the slaves it shows them the path they want to go, so to them it is God.
  • Figurative Language- " With hope that shines" is personification. His hope is so strong that he thinks it shines.
  • Tone- The tone would be determination. Along his journey he isn't giving up and he isn't complaining. he just keeps pushing to get there. Theme- The theme is that freedom doesn't come cheap. There is always a cost to running away. This cost could they could be killed.
