  • EVAPORATION
  • WHERE ARE WE?
  • This is our little field trip. I'll show you all of the stages of our life! First off is evaporation. Our family travels up into the sky as water vapor.
  • CONDENSATION
  • OOOH... I know this. After evaporation, we go up in the clouds. And we're still in liquid form.  Is that right Professor Dewey?
  • Perfect!!! Good job Darya.
  • PRECIPITATION
  • IT COULD EVEN STORM!!!!
  • When too much water vapor goes in a cloud during accumulation, it begins to rain.
  • Once the rain falls, it hits the ground. On the ground, it can do a few things. It will create runoff, evaporate, or go into the ground and perform transpiration. Transpiration is when water in the ground is taken from the roots of plants and is evaporated through the leaves.
  • Okay, but what is it called when water goes in the ground.?
  • RUNOFF,  TRANSPIRATION AND EVAPORATION
  • When water goes into the ground it is called infiltration. Humans can get their drinks from here!
  • OKAY!
  • INFILTRATION
  • SO this is the end. *YAWN* I think I'm ready to go home Professor Dewey.
  • All the water will eventually end up coming back to the start and it repeats over and over again.
  • ACCUMULATION AND REPEAT
