Storyboard Text

  • Aren't you disturbed when the earth itself is shaking and swaying as if it were a flimsy thing?
  • Why are you breathless, and why are you staring like that?
  • Who ever saw the heavens threaten like this?
  • It's a very pleasing night to honest men.
  • If you're joining together to right these wrongs, I'll go as far as any one of you.
  • We're meeting on this fearful night because no one is out on the streets.
  • Hide a minute-someone approaching fast.
  • Cicero and Casca were talking about the strange occurances happening like a man's hand was on fire, but he didn't get burned. Cicero believes that these occurances were an omen from the gods, but, Casca says, "These happenings can be explained rationally. They're natural enough."
  • I'm glad Casca is with us. What a fearful night this is!
  • It's Cinna. I recognize his walk. He's a friend. Cinna, where are you going in such a hurry.
  • Casca thought a wildering Roman was near him but it was actually Cassius scaring him. Them both are talking why these occurances and Cassius believes that the gods are giving them a sign about Caesar's power and warning them.
  • Well, I'll hurry and put these papers where you told me.
  • When you've finished all this, return to the porch of Pompey's theater, where you'll find us.
  • Casca reveals that March 15th will be the day that Caesar will be crowned king and Cassius will kill himself if he does. So, both of them are figuring about on how stop Caesar becoming king.
  • Brutus could do and look virtuous-just like an alchemist turns worthless tin to gold.
  • Yes, you're absolutely right about how worthy Brutus is and now how much we need him. Let's go because it's already after midnight, and we want him on our side before daylight.
  • Casca believes that Cinna is another Roman and Cinna thinks that Casca is Metellus Cimber, another member of the Conspiracy. But, they all figured out who to add into the Conspiracy-Brutus.
  • Cassius orders Cinna to drop the fake letters at Brutus' house and put them on different spots at his house like his judge's chair and his window. The reason why they do so is to influence Brutus since Caesar trusts him.
  • Now, the both of them, Cassius and Casca, believe that they will get Brutus on their side and their plan will go smoothly.  They both leave the scene feeling confident... or so will they.
