#### Storyboard Text

• When I wake up in the morning I turn on my bedroom light. The light switch transfers electrical energy into the light bulb which then has light energy. Also since my light bulb is not energy efficient it creates a lot of thermal energy.

• After waking up, I take a shower and change into my uniform. When the shower is turned on electrical energy causes the water to fall with gravitational energy. This water is hot thus producing thermal energy. Also, when the water hits the shower floor it creates sound.

• In the morning I prepare toast and eggs for breakfast. First, by turning on the toaster electrical energy is used then transformed into thermal energy used to toast the bread. The bread goes through a chemical change called the Maillard reaction. Finally, the springs inside the toaster that allow the toast to pop out store potential energy.

• The second part of my breakfast consists of fried eggs. Turning on the stove requires chemical energy to start the fire which has thermal energy. This then causes the proteins in the egg to bond which is a chemical change but also the oil to pop which makes sound energy.

• Before I go to school I need to eat the breakfast I prepared. The motion of chewing is kinetic energy which transfers to chemical energy when the food reaches the stomach and intestines and is transformed into potential and kinetic energy.

• To get to school I travel by car. The car needs electrical energy to spark the gas (chemical energy) in the piston but the movement of the piston is mechanical. The potential energy that was previously stored in the immobile car becomes kinetic. The car also creates sound from the engine. Next, the friction of the wheels causes thermal energy.
