Odysseus and the crew begin their trek to the cyclops cave.
Finally, they arrive at the cyclops cave of Polyphemus.
Odysseus and his men meet Polyphemus, son of Poseidon and Thoosa.
"Who are you? And what was the land you sailed out on water paths?" (Pg. 177)
"My name is No One." (Pg. 180)
After Polyphemus has a quick meal, he takes a quick nap. Then, Odysseus and his men strike.
"No force can damage me, No One is using treachery." (Pg. 182)
Then the men retreat as a blind Polyphemus chases them. As the men flood into the ships Polyphemus hurls a rock near one of the ships.
"Listen, Poseidon, dark-haired lord who clasps the earth hard fast, if I'm indeed your son and you declare yourself my father, then don't let this ravager of towns, Odysseus, Laertes' son, who lives in Ithaca, return to his own land." (Pg 186)
