Sophisticated - God, I'm sophisticated!" (Daisy Buchanan, The Great Gatsby) Daisy Buchanan is a nice but depressing wife of Tom Buchanan. She grabs people's attention by murmuring and whispering, plus he excitement was destroyed by her husband while jumping on the couch.
"There was so much to read, for one thing, and on my shelf in red and gold like new money from the mint, promising to unfold the shining secrets that only Midas and Morgan and Maecenas knew. And I had the high intention of reading many other books besides" (Nick Carraway, The Great Gatsby). Nick Carraway is the main protagonist of the story who lectures himself in the money business. His personality is strange because he doesn't smile or doesn't feel sad. He also doesn't feel tired coming back from college and from World War I.
