This storyboard helps readers determine why media bias is real (that's my opinion on it)

Storyboard Text

  • Hey, do you know what media bias is? Media bias is the bias or perceived bias of journalists and news producers within the mass media in the selection of events and stories that are reported and how they are covered.
  • Wow!, i didn't know that.
  • So what kinds of bias are there? Well, there is bias by omission, bias by selection of sources, bias by labeling, and bias by spin.
  • Media bias is real. Media bias is real because it happens all the time, all around the world. Secondly, media bias is real because every time a incident happens that involves a shooting, or police brutality, the news reports it. Lastly, media bias is real because crimes all over the media keep happening, and they cause arguments, and they wont ever stop.
  • My first reason is that media bias is real because it happens all the time, all around the world. My evidence for this reason is teenage police brutality. A teenager that goes by the name of Michael brown was shot and killed in the city of Ferguson, Missouri. People all around the country went bogo off of this incident, that's media bias. Many other teens have been killed by cops.
  • My second reason was that media bias is real because every time a shooting happens, or police brutality happens, the news reports it nationally. My evidence for this reason is that the Michael brown, Treyvon Martin, and Freddie gray(not a teen) cases have gone nationally viral. My third and final reason is media bias is real because crimes all over the media keep happening, and they cause arguments, and they will never stop. My evidence for this is name one time a serious crime occurs, and the news doesn't report it...EXACTLY!, the news reports all crimes, and that won't change.
  • You may say something like, "Oh, but media bias is not real because people arguing and debating is normal about humans, that doesn't mean it has to be bias." I will debunk that by saying that arguing is a huge part of media bias, in fact arguing is almost the definition of it.
  • Wow, that huge explanation on media bias seemed pretty legit!
