Battle Of Marathon
The first Persian invasion of Greece. It was fought between the citizens of Athens
Our battle was located in Marathon, Greece.
Athenian general Miltiades, and Persian king Darius I the Great were the two commanding officers for athens and persia
We, the Athenians, wanted to gain more land, so we started the battle of marathon, hoping to gain control of more land.
We, the Greeks, won. We gained control of the land.
Something unique about our battle is that I ran 25 miles to Athens to deliver the news of our victory to our city-state. Eventually I will die from exhaustion.
