Caesar was the ruler of Rome. He didnt fear death, was over confident, and powerful. He had many people who he thought were his friends but they were actually plotting against him.
Brutus was a friend Caesar thought he could trust and depend on. Brutus had a strong love for rome and the people in it. He did whatever he thought was best for Rome even if that meant he had to die. He was one of the head conspirators.
Antony was a friend who stayed true/ loyal to Caesar. He spoke against the conspirators so that everyone would see the wrong they did by killing Caesar. Antony was a good Roman.
Cassius was envious of Caesar and his power. Cassius was the one who formed the conspirators. He was persuasive in getting people to turn on Caesar.
The Roman people were a main part of the story. They were easily persuaded by Brutus and Antony. At first they took sides with Brutus but then saw the true colors of the conspirators.
