This storyboard does not have a description.
This particular family is constantly on the move, moving from town to town, city to city for a day maybe even a couple of months. Jeannette's parents can never hold steady jobs, and are constantly on the move to escape debt with them, Jeannette, Lori, Brian, and later on Maureen.
One of the most important location in this memoir, is called Battle Mountain in the Nevada desert. This location is important because Jeannette creates symbolism and lays the foundation of what we can expect about the characters especially about her parents. This picture also represents her home in West Virginia, where the climax happens, her parents leave her by herself to take care of the family.
The Glass Castle
Despite the hardships Jeannette goes through, she grows up and works hard to get her Lori, Brian, and Maureen to New York City to escape from her parents that always carry a trail of misery, but in the end Jeannette finds meaning in her life and is reminded about the good side of her parents. I think the theme of this book is to encourage anyone no matter where they are from that they can become someone.
