  • THEME (paranoia, reputation, hysteria? something else?)
  • Theme: The theme of the story is good vs. evil. Evil being the person the everyone shows inside during the play by accusing their neighbors. The good is what John Proctor shows during the entire play.
  • Similarities: The book and the movie had many similarities. Act 3 was pretty much the same thing in both books. Same as act two and one.
  • Movie: The movie had the scene in the woods to help start the movie with the witchcraft idea. It also left out some comedic relief for the audience during the Herrick and Tituba scene
  • Book: The book had a few parts that the movie didn't like the jail scene with Herrick and Tituba. Also It didn't have the scene in the woods in the play.
