  • "The church is rich, and they don't have to pay taxes. Let's kill the Bishop and burn down the church! the church is no longer helping the people, and just trying to get money."
  • "The king and his nobles are dead, so now the peasants are in control of the country. Such a small amount of the population is rich, but they own a huge portion of the land. Power's in the hands of the people now. This is called the National Assembly of the People. Rousseau says that power should be in the hands of the people. Other philosophers agree with Rousseau's ideas."
  • Many people expressed their opinions during the French Revolution through drawings. Philosophers wrote books about their opinion, and how people should have rights.
