  • Non-specific defenses go on search and destroy missions throughout the body destroying any threats they find. These defenses include the skin (which kills with acidic sweat, saliva, and tears), Natural Killer Cells (which burst the membranes of infected cells), Macrophages (which ingest foreign cells), and Neutrophils (which are among the first cells to begin killing invaders).

  • Specific defenses defend against specific threats. B and T Lymphocytes both target certain diseases. Memory Cells retain the anitgens of defeated viruses. The Helper T Cells release chemicals to help Macrofages fight off threats. Anigens are proteins secreted by B-Cells(B-Cells mark infected cells).
