Blake Kelley Ms.Golas Period 7 12-12-16
Introduction: The main character, Charlie Gordon is waiting in a doctors office to be tested to see if he is eligible for an operation to make him smarter because he has a very low intelligence level. Charlie wanted to be smarter all his life.
Rising Action: Charlie has passed the test and is getting the special operation to boost his intelligence level and IQ. Charlie is gaining intelligence after the surgery but he is still not very aware and he doesn't know that he is gaining intelligence.
Climax: Charlie is the smartest he has ever been in his whole life. He got his own laboratory, and he is aware of what is going on around him, for example he realized that Frank and Joe(two of his work mates) aren't really his friends and they are laughing at him, not with him.
Falling Action: It has been a while since Charlie got the special operation. He spends most of his time in bed and his intelligence level is starting to decrease. He is getting even less smart then what he started out with before the surgery. He is getting very stressed, frustrated and depressed because he knows that he used to be able to read and write words that he can't now.
Denouement: Charlie is back to where he was before the surgery took place. He thinks that he is mentally challenged and due to this he will not do anything. He decides to move and start a new life.
