Patient advocacy means fighting for patient's rights so that they are always heard.
She is still a patient of mine, and a person. She needs a few more days recovery; for her safety and health.
Patient advocacy is a crucial part of a nurse's job. We especially must minister for vulnerable populations, such as criminals. As my patient's advocate, I will ensure all needs are met, and everyone on the team is on the same page. I will ensure the patient is also educated on their care.
We will keep you for a bit longer. You are doing well.
