  • Mercantilism was the system of trading one good for another, presumably to gain wealth, slaves and more goods that the country could not make or get on their own.
  • Middle Passage
  • The England Queen sent several explorers and colonists to explore and colonize The New World. This opened opportunities for trading and harvesting of raw materials.
  • Slaves
  • The Triangle Trade system was when kingdoms would trade items throughout the "triangle" that they were a part of. The main parts of this triangle were America, England and Africa, each with their exports
  • Economy
  • The Middle Passage was the prime area and trade route for trading slaves. Africa would trade slaves for goods from other countries. Many of these slaves would never make it to America, as this was the main destination of these slaves.
  • Slaves were a very big part of the triangle trade system. They were very valuable to America, so Africa was happy to sell them off for more resources and goods. Many countries only export was slaves. This alone brought them enough income for them.
  • The economy of this time period was very active, as slaves and goods were very valuable. Both were considered as property, and treated as such when traded with other people. They were like money
