Well, that is because of The Second Newton Law of Motion of acceleration. Both of you guys used the same amount of force of the object but the masses of the objects were different. The one that went farther away is lighter than the other one! That means the smaller the mass the faster the acceleration, and mass and acceleration are inversely proportional.
Excuse me professor, I and my friend threw different sized objects but mine went farther away than his object. Why?
The Third Newton Law of Motion is the law of action then reaction. In this law, we learn that with every action, there is a reaction. The object repeats the action in the opposite way to get a reaction and that is The Law of Action,Reaction. Let's go try this out in an experiment!
