  • Hi I'm Alex.
  • But mom I want to go hunting!
  • Hi
  • Hi
  • I'm sad we didn't get anything
  • Hi my name is Alex and I am a 15 year old boy who lives in Creede, Colorado and this is the story about how I shot my very first buck.
  • It was a great and sunny day when I woke up. As soon as I did get up I started getting ready to go hunting with my dad. Since I was so excited I wanted to go out already, however my mom saw me when i was about to leave and said “you are not going anywhere until you eat breakfast”.
  • I finally got it!
  • It was nighttime and my dad said “we better get going or your mom is going to be mad”. But I was quick to respond and said “ dad we can’t go yet we didn’t even get anything". “ Well we are lucky that we have tomorrow”. When we got home I asked my mom if by best friend Jimmy could sleep over so he could hang out and she said “ why not “. “ Thanks mom “ I said.
  • Jimmy and I woke up as early as we could so that we would get to shoot the two forty-three before he could get it first. After doing target practice with the gun we went back inside so we could eat breakfast. When we got finished with breakfast Jimmy and I went into the forest to scout out the new place where my dad and I were going to hunt.
  • The new place we found was perfect, deer were everywhere, we just needed dad. When dad woke up to Jimmy and I shaking him rapidly he got very angry with the two of us but then he looked out the window and saw all of the deer outside. However one stood out it was the biggest buck he had ever seen in his lifetime. He jumped out of bed and got the gun down for Jimmy and I so that we would not miss out on shooting such a big buck. I wasn’t the best at shooting because I had a very unsteady hand. However today was my lucky day. I peered through the scope with just enough time left to shoot I pressed the trigger. The bullet left the gun and went straight into the buck's heart.
