King of Athens send me 7 girls and 7 boys, to enter my maze, and I will spare your city.
Meanwhile... in Athens
I will go and slay the Minatour
Theseus your not going.
Even though King Minos had a strong enough naval force to wipe out the city of Athens, he decided to have a little bit of fun. His idea of fun wasn't the normal kind. For his enjoyment he decided to send 7 boys and 7 girls into his maze to be eaten by his Minotaur.
King Minos cut a deal with the King of Athens, since the helpless King didn't know what to do, so he accepted the deal, but his son had other ideas...
The King of Athens son wanted to go to Crete and enter the Kings maze so that he could slay the Minotaur. His father did not want him to do this, but his son was so persistent that he had no other option, so he let his son go and spared the life of another boy.
As the children were ready to enter the maze, Theseus pulled out a gift from King Mino's daughter. She had made a deal with him which would take her away from the island. She gave him a sword and some rope. He told the rest of the children to stay there and hold his rope as he entered the maze himself ...
Theseus frantically searched the Maze until he came across the monster. As the minotaur saw him, it started to charge at him, but Theseus being as agile as he is jumped as high as he could onto the minatour's head...
Then with one swift swoop of his sword, he cut the monsters head off, he had done it... Theseus had killed the Minotaur and saved his Fathers Kingdom.
