Storyboard Text

  • In 1804 Jefferson sent 2 explorers named Maywether Lewis, and William Clark to explore the new bought land called the  Louisiana which Jefferson just bought. This event was called the Louisiana purchase.
  • Hi I'm Lewis and these guys are my crew
  • I'm Clark indeed we've been traveling for a very long time stuck in this boat
  • It looks like we are coming onto some land, lets get off here and explore!
  • We've been traveling for a very long time now
  • They were all confused they didn't know where to go. They were hoping that the Mississippi river lead through North America and to the Pacific Ocean (It didn't). They didn't know where to go so they just went and explored. They ended up finding something very special.
  • Guys i found something!
  • Where are we?
  • They ran across a Indian camp which held Sacagawea who volunteered to help Lewis and Clark explore the new land they got. She was there to help find the bad Indians from the good ones, also to help them out with not getting lost she lived in this land for awhile. She was also 6 months pregnant with a child.
  • Sacagawea I like that name
  • Yes please, that is an amazing offer.
  • Hi I'm sacagawea do you need some help on your journey?
  • Sacagawea, Lewis, and Clark all ended up leaving because there wasn't a river that went through North America. Sacagawea ended up marrying Clark.
  • After forever of searching this new amazing purchase they didn't find a water way that lead through North America.  Later on in life Sacagawea died at 25 with 1 child. Lewis later on died, everyone was saying it was a suicide but the people at History.com have something else to say. They all thought it was a murder. So people believed he didn't commit suicide he just died somehow. Nobody ended up being caught for the murder so nobody had enough evidence to say if he was murdered or not.
