I wonder why we hiccup?
Sometimes hiccups will occur because of the disturbance of the nerve pathways to the brain to the muscle involved.
Hiccups may occur with temperature changes or emotional situations.
Cool! But now thats got me thinking. What happens when we choke?
The presence of a content in your trachea is extremely uncomfortable and this usually leads to gagging and coughing.
Once you swallow food it has two “pipes” to go down the esophagus or the trachea. Your esophagus leads to your stomach and you trachea leads to you lungs.
Well, I bet you dont know how we digust things!
Actually I do! When food is in your stomach a chemical called enzymes breaks down the food in your stomach and turns it into nutrients
Food and drinks have to be molecules before they can be absorbed by blood and carried through your body.
