Storyboard Text

  • Antonio. Can I borrow money from you so that I can meet the beautiful Portia?
  • Yes, but you will have to borrow the money from Shylock under my name. My ships will be in soon so I can pay it back.
  • All of these suitors are just not good enough. They either talk too much of themselves or say nothing at all.
  • Bassanio? I almost forgot about him. Maybe he will show up.
  • There was the one Venitian merchant who I met a long time ago. Out of everyone, he seemed like he would have been good for you.
  • Alright, but Antonio must pay it back in promptly 3 months. If not, he shall owe me a pound of flesh from wherever I desire.
  • Shylock, I would like to borrow 3 thousand ducats under Antonio's name. he will pay it back when his ships come back in three months.
  • I need to quit working for Shylock. If I work for him any longer, I will become a Jew myself. I'll just ask Bassanio if I can work for him instead although he is poor.
  • Jessica, Bassanio has agreed to let me work with him so that I won't have to work for your father. I will still be around though because soon Bassanio is leaving with Gratiano.
  • Note
  • I will miss you, Lancelet. You were the one bearable part of living here. When you leave, please give this letter to Lorenzo for me.
  • She wants me to meet her tonight so that we can be together. Lancelet, will you find a way to get Shylock out of his house?
  • What does the letter say?
  • Lorenzo, here is a letter from Jessica
  • Note
  • I'll invite him to a dinner with Bassanio so that he leaves.
