  • Captain! Captain! She can't see or hear me! LOOK!
  • Helen! Helen! Can you hear me. Helen!
  • Hello Annie. I really hate to say it but you are our last hope. The doctors can't do anything to fix her put maybe you can.
  • Don't worry Kate I will teach her discipline and language. I will not stop until Helen can learn how to communicate.
  • Oh you sneaky little girl. I see you haven't been taught any discipline. You think you can get rid of me that easily. We will see about that.
  • Kate and Captain Keller go to the doctor and the doctor says that Helen will be fine. Kate was talking to Helen and realized that she couldn't hear her. She moved her hand in front of her face and realized that Helen couldn't see because she wasn't flinching. Kate screamed for Keller to come but they realized that she was blind and deaf. The Keller's needed someone that could help Helen. So they hired Annie to come and help and Kate had one last string of hope and that hope was Annie.
  • It sure took a lot of work and effort but Helen finally folded her napkin, eat off of a plate, and eat her food with a spoon.
  • Annie comes to the Keller's house and meets Kate, James, and Captain Keller. Annie gives the a doll to Helen that she got from the kid's in the Childrens Institute. Annie came to help Helen o she could prove herself. Annie was very determined to help Helen and would let nothing get in her way until Helen learned language.
  • Helen diffidently learned cleanliness and manners but I didn't accomplish my main goal which was to make Helen learn what a word is.
  • Annie was in the room teaching Helen sign language and then Helen hit Annie in the face with her doll. Annie looked in the mirror and found that her tooth was knocked out. Helen ran out of the room and locked Annie in the room with a key. When
  • Wah. Wah.
  • Yes! Yes! Yes! Oh my dear. She knows what a word is. I must tell everyone about this new Helen and we all must celebrate.
  • It took a lot of hard work and struggle but Annie finally got Helen to eat with a spoon, fold her napkin, and eat off of a plate. When Helen was done eating she went outside to where the Keller's were. Annie told Kate about how Helen ate with a spoon, folded her napkin, and ate off of her own plate. By Annie telling Kate all of these things it gave hope to Kate that maybe Helen could get better.
  • The two weeks were over with and Annie would have to give Helen back to the Keller's. Annie made a deal with the Keller's that Annie would be able to stay with Helen in the garden house so she can teach Helen, cleanliness, obedience, and most importantly language. Annie definitely taught Helen cleanliness and obedience but she didn't teach Helen her main goal which was to know what a word was. Annie also didn't want to give Helen back to the Keller's because if she did the Keller's would go back to pitying Helen again and everything that Annie taught Helen over the two weeks would be a complete waste.
  • Annie brought Helen back to the Keller's and the Keller's wanted to celebrate that Helen was back after dinner Annie took Helen to go refill the water pitcher. Then that's when the miracle happened. As Helen was touching the water she said the words wah, wah! Annie was amazed and was so exited. She accomplished her goal which was to make Helen understand language and what a word is. This was a very emotional moment for the Keller's and Annie but it was just the beginning of a new Helen.
