Greatest Integer Functions
A greatest integer function, also known as a floor function can be written as y=int[x]
Plugging any value into this function will give you the same value rounded up to the nearest integer
In simple terms, it is a function which eliminates decimals
This function is useful in distribution since you can't have 4.375 units of a single product
It's also practical in accounting if you only want to work in dollars
Don't forget that this function only rounds up. Contrary to normal rounding, 4.12 would round to 5 rather than 4
