  • A solid's molecules move slower than a liquid's or gasses. A solid can melt depending on how hot the temperature is for that solid A solid's molecules move a lot more slowly than a liquid's or gasses. When you heat a solid it starts to melt.
  • A solids molecules are more compact than the two other states of matter.
  • A solid's molecules move slower than a liquid's or gasses. A solid can melt depending on the temperature.
  • A liquid can evaporate which then turns into a gas.
  • A liquids molecules move faster than a solid's but slower than a gas's. The molecules are still a little compact.
  • A gas's molecules are not compact at all and move really fast.
  • The particles in gas are able to spread apart from one another.
