  • Characters
  • Setting
  • Conflict
  • Grrrr...
  • LADYBUG
  • The main character is Rachel Lee, a teenage girl who loves baking and who's mom owns a cleaning business. The other characters in this story include Rachel's mom, Rachel's best friend Marisol, Rachel's boyfriend Eric, Eric's sister Brianna, Brianna's friend Angela, a kid from Rachel's cooking class (Whit), and Whit's sister.
  • Rising Action
  • This book takes place in modern day times during summer in the suburbs. In addition to everything else in the town, there is a bakery where Rachel takes baking lessons and a store for the new house cleaners called Ladybug Cleaners that just moved into town.
  • Climax
  • The main problem of this story is that Ladybug Cleaners are now cleaning in town and are stealing Rachel's mom's customers by spreading rumors that their cleaning business steals things. This causes Rachel and Marisol to pull pranks on the Ladybugs, such as dumping caramel on their vans. Rachel, Marisol, Rachel's mom, Whit, Whit's sister, who owns Ladybug Cleaners, and Eric are all involved.
  • Falling Action/Resolution
  • Rachel and Marisol try to solve the Ladybug problem by pulling pranks on them. Sometimes they work, but most of the time Mrs. Lee's business gets pranked on afterwards. Rachel also realizes that Whit is the Ladybug owner's younger brother.
  • The climax happens at a bake-off, when Rachel sees Brianna and Angela arguing, and then realizes that it was Angela who had stolen from one of the customers and then did the other pranks because she wanted to impress Brianna, who didn't really like Rachel.
  • In the end, Brianna gets back with her old best friend, rumors about and pranks about both cleaning companies are removed and forgiven, and Ladybug Cleaners and Mrs. Lee's cleaning business join forces, but Rachel and her mom have to move to an apartment because they can't pay for the house they live in now. The good thing is, the apartment is in the same town that they currently live in. During the story, Rachel learned to cope with change and just embrace it.
