  • It was more common for strangers to talk to each other. Talking face to face was one of the main ways of communication.
  • Mobile Phones
  • If you wanted to communicate with people overseas, you had to line up and buy stamps or buy international phone cards which were very expensive. Communication overseas was very slow.​
  • Social Media
  • It was considered impolite and uncommon to ring outside certain hours e.g 8-9pm unless it was an emergency.
  • Easy contact
  • This question is quite difficult. I might ask the teacher on google classroom for help.
  • Today most people in NZ have a mobile phone which you can communicate with people via text message at any time​ along with access social networking sites.
  • The rise of social media has meant people can communicate with millions of people around the world in seconds, many who u may not know. You're also able to share photos and messages with the wider world.
