  • Rising Action
  • Conflict
  • Billy Weaver, a 17 year old businessman, reaches Bath. The porter gives Billy the name of a local hotel, "The Bell and Dragon".
  • Climax
  • On his way to The Bell and Dragon, Billy caught sight of a printed notice that said "Bed and Breakfast".He decides to keep moving to the hotel but something strange compelles him to stay there.
  • Falling Action
  • As soon as Billy rings the bell, an older lady popped out the door. She invited him in and offered him an offer that he could not just give away. The landlady keeps on calling Billy by another name.
  • Conclusion
  • The landlady tells Billy that he must sign the book. When Billy finishes unpacking his things, he heads to the living area to sign. When he signs the book, he also notices two other entries. Both names written there sound familiar to him.
  • Billy realizes that those names are names of people who he hadn't heard from in a while. He also notices that a dog in the living area is actually stuffed. While actually there, he spots the landlady who invites him to a cup of tea.
  • While drinking the cup of tea, he asks the landlady about the other two men. The last entries are two to three years ago. However, the landlady tells him that both men are still there, upstairs. The tea they're drinking tastes like bitter almonds and he's the only visitor in two years. The story trails off and we're left wondering.
