Storyboard Text

  • Hey mom, what's media bias?
  • Well there are four types of media bias. There is bias by omission which is when someone leaves one side out of the article. Bias by selection of source is when you include more than one source to support you. Bias by labeling is the way you talk about someone and bias by spin is when there is only one interpretation.
  • Media bias is everywhere. There are three reasons why there is bias in the media. There is bias because everyone has an opinion, everyone wants to be right, and because people want to try to make other people wrong about everything.
  • There is bias in the media because everyone has an opinion. Two or more people can argue about any topic. Everyday someone gets into an argument with someone else because of their opinion.
  • Superman is way better than batman!
  • No he's not!
  • There is media bias because everyone wants to be right. When someone says something that they think will happen, they always say I know before or after they say something.
  • I know we will have homework tonight.
  • Yeah right.
  • There is media bias because people want to try to make other people look like they are wrong. Even though they may use proven facts, all they try to do is make other people think that a certain person is wrong
  • You only think that because your brother is the mayor.
  • Some people my say that not everything has opinion in it. I tell them that everything that is important to society does have an opinion. Just remember that when you say you like something better than something else, that is an opinion, so that means you are using bias.
