The progressive era helped us accomplish many things like efficiency in the workplace.
Henry Ford took Fredrick W. Taylor's concept of "Taylorism" and focused on the workplace, but also focused on the workers needs as well. He called his process "Forsism"
These accomplishments led to a plethora of additional privileges in the work place, like the banning of child labor, workers compensation, and many others.
Another efficiency the progressive era is the government. Initiative let the people make some bills, rather than the law makers.
The 17th Amendment let the people have direct election of senators.
Recalls enabled for voters to remove public officials from elected positions, which is a powerful position.
