Storyboard Text

  • The progressive era helped us accomplish many things like efficiency in the workplace.
  • Henry Ford took Fredrick W. Taylor's concept of "Taylorism" and focused on the workplace, but also focused on the workers needs as well. He called his process "Forsism"
  • These accomplishments led to a plethora of additional privileges in the work place, like the banning of child labor, workers compensation, and many others.
  • Another efficiency the progressive era is the government. Initiative let the people make some bills, rather than the law makers.
  • The 17th Amendment let the people have direct election of senators.
  • Recalls enabled for voters to remove public officials from elected positions, which is a powerful position.
