I think I'm insane..
At the beginning of the story the author talks about how the old man's eye bothers him. It also makes him want to kill the old man.
The conflict in this story was his mind. The narrator's mind had convinced him he wanted to kill the old man.
In this part of the story, the narrator was watching the old man while he was sleeping. The narrator did this for a whole week until one night..
Yes, yes! I killed him.
In the climax the old man dies.. The narrator or person telling the story killed the old man because he couldn't deal with the old man's eye anymore.
At this point of the story, the old man is buried. Probably not the way you want to be buried though.. He was buried underneath the floorboards of his house.
At this point, the police showed up to the crime scene of the old man. The neighbors called when they heard his screaming/yelling. When the cops got there the narrator confessed to killing the man.
