Storyboard Text

  •  A plague has spread across America and killed most people.  Thirteen year-old Steven and his family were forced to evacuate in an attempt to avoid the spread of the plague. While wandering in the wilderness, his Mom died as she was trying to give birth.  Steven's very strict grandfather died soon after.  This left Steven and his dad alone to survive in the dangerous, lonely world.
  • Steven, our world is becoming very dangerous. We must always be on the lookout for things to trade for food, shelter or weapons.  We walk this route every day, but today could be the day we find something that will be valuable to us later.
  • Ok, Dad.
  • You are our SLAVES now!  You WILL stay in those chains tonight!
  • One day while walking their regular path, Steven and his Dad come across a crashed plane.  They sneak onto the plane to try to find new supplies.  Instead, they find...
  • Dad, NO!   It is too dangerous!
  • These "Slavers" are really bad guys!  We have to save this lady and her son from them!
  • Dad was so brave for freeing the woman and her son, but now it will cost him his life.  He will not survive his injuries from the fall that he took.  I am sad that my dad is dying, but I am thankful that Jackson and his son, Marcus are taking me in.
  • I'm so nervous to begin school in this new town!  I don't seem to fit in with anyone, but at least I have my friends, Jackson and Jenny.
  • Steven settles in a new town, Settlers Landing, with Marcus and Jackson.  He has a hard time fitting in due to the bullies at school.
  • Unfortunately, after only a couple of weeks of school, Steven gets in a fight with the bully and gets kicked out of school.  He continued to stay near the town in a barn with Jenny.
  • This is terrible!  Slavers! They must have followed me to Settlers Landing.  Now they've burned everything.
  • The Slavers were supposed to take down our enemies atFort Leonard for us, but they turned against us!  Why would they do this?
  • The commander from Fort Leonard came to see what the commotion was and Steven realized the Slavers had followed him to the town.  They burned the town in revenge for Steven's dad freeing the woman and her son. The town was very forgiving and Fort Leonard and Settlers Landing worked together as allies in rebuilding and taking down the Slavers.
