  • Huck met the duke and dauphin. They were on the boat together. Huck learned to not to mess with people who lie. Quote: "I see how maybe I could get me and Jim rid of the frauds; get them jailed here, and then leave." (18.143)
  • Huck and Jim became friends. Huck learned that to be nice to Jim​. Quote: "...and I see Jim before me, all the time, in the day, and in the night-time, sometimes moonlight, sometimes storms, and we a floating along, talking, and singing, and laughing." (31.161)
