  • So, I came into Smithsfield; and the shameful place, beimg all asmear with filth and fat and blood and foam, seemed to stick to me.
  • Chapter 20 - Pip arrives to London, and is pleased yet somewhat displeased when seeing the sights of London
  • The journey from our town to the metropolis was a journey of about five hours.

  • Chapter 21 - Pip meets Herbert Pocket, and eventually they realize that they have met before
  • Lord bless me! You're the prowling boy!
  • Chapter 22 - Herbert and Pip are having dinner, and Herbert talks about Miss Havisham and her past.

  • Chapter 28 - Pip decides to visit Joe as well as Miss Havisham. He is riding a coach along with two convicts. He realizes one convict was the mysterious stranger he encountered at the Jolly Bargemen, who had given him two one-pound notes.
